As businesses increasingly look to the benefits of SAP S/4HANA, we are proud to be working with a leading glass manufacturer on a transformative S/4HANA project spanning multiple business areas and modules. This is a collaborative, ongoing project in conjunction with the customer and an additional third-party consultancy.
With great experience and expertise in delivering multi-module SAP implementations and S/4HANA transformations, our expert team is responsible for the areas of the S/4HANA solution related to: SAP Logistics, SAP Production Planning, SAP Material Management, SAP Sales & Distribution, SAP Production Execution, SAP Finance and Controlling, SAP Quality Management, Third-party integrations, Master Data and HMRC.
On top of this, we are providing programme and project management with overall programme governance, working closely with the business’ leadership team to boost employee engagement and make adoption of the new system easier.
Initially focusing on the customer’s site in Cheshire, UK, the solution has now been successfully built and is forming the foundation of a template for future rollouts.
This template is now being used as the basis for an implementation at a second UK site, located near Bristol. The discovery phase for this site has recently concluded successfully.
During the course of both engagements, a number of additional functional and process requirements were identified, which prompted a detailed review to determine what should be incorporated into the core template and enable further automation before the Cheshire site goes live.
Following this, we are now entering a focused phase of activity to address these requirements while ensuring that the solution remains robust, scalable and aligned with the customer’s evolving business needs. Activities our team will undertake include:
- Individual functional design for each identified requirement
- Build and unit testing to ensure quality and consistency
- Train-the-trainer sessions to empower internal teams
We will then be moving forward with deployment and comprehensive solution testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing and cutover planning.
Post go-live, key members of our project delivery team will remain engaged to provide enhanced support for each module within our scope, ensuring a smooth transition before full handover to business-as-usual (BAU) support.
In parallel, we are also commencing the localisation and design of must-have requirements specific to the second site. By leveraging the existing consultancy team already engaged on the initial deployment and template, the customer will be able to benefit from a consistent delivery approach, ongoing stakeholder alignment and a more seamless transition between project phases.
