Customer Stories - Kraft Heinz

Modernising a critical warehouse, without disrupting operations

Kraft Heinz never had more than 72 hours downtime, for the duration of a major programme to migrate its UK NDC to SAP EWM. Operating one of the largest and most automated warehouses in its network, the business transitioned away from a legacy platform, while maintaining service levels, customer deliveries and day to day operations.

330,000 sq ft facility
77,500 pallets
11 high-bay cranes
97% automation

Replacing the warehouse management system at its UK National Distribution Centre (NDC) was a major milestone in Kraft Heinz's wider global ERP strategy. The site's highly automated environment, multiple third party systems and logistics partners meant the project required careful planning, close collaboration and a seamless transition to minimise risk and ensure continuity of supply.

Working alongside Kraft Heinz and its logistics provider, TCT delivered a new SAP EWM solution that improved warehouse visibility, strengthened operational control and provided a platform for future innovation. Bringing inventory, yard and warehouse activities into a single SAP environment created greater transparency across operations, while aligning the site with Kraft Heinz's wider global SAP strategy and long term roadmap.
