We’re excited to be working with a globally recognised manufacturer of audio products, supporting its transition to a more agile and intelligent supply chain through SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition with Transportation Management (TM).
As the business continues to grow and evolve, it has chosen SAP’s public cloud TM offering to future-proof its operations, accelerate innovation and simplify its IT landscape. This move will enable rapid deployment of best-practice processes, continuous improvement through regular updates and scalable logistics capabilities. All essential for staying competitive in today’s ever-changing logistics landscape.
We were selected for this programme based on our deep logistics expertise and proven success in delivering SAP TM solutions for global businesses. Our expert consultants bring hands-on experience and a deep understanding of transportation challenges, ensuring every solution we deliver is both technically sound and operationally effective.
We initially partnered closely with the customer’s internal team to map its transportation processes and conduct a fit-to-standard analysis, ensuring the solution reflects the company’s real-world needs and delivers measurable value, while also aligning with SAP best practice.
We’re now moving onto the next phase of the project, configuring the TM solution within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition, covering:
- Manual Transportation Planning: Freight unit creation, freight order and booking planning and container management.
- Transportation Execution: Integration with delivery documents, milestone tracking and warehouse management for outbound flows.
- Freight Settlement: Automated charge calculations, cost distribution and accurate accruals.
The project scope includes outbound domestic road transportation from a central site in Colorado, USA, as well as inbound international ocean and air bookings from China, with shipments categorised by urgency: from ‘normal demand’ through to ‘super critical’.
By leveraging SAP’s public cloud offering with TM, the customer will benefit from faster time-to-value, enhanced operational control and scalable logistics capabilities, all driving improved service levels and reduced operational costs.
