A multinational IT services provider has delivered new efficiency gains, increased productivity and driven user engagement by introducing PreBilt to improve the SAP user experience at a facility in the Netherlands.
Implementing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) on S/4HANA, as part of its global supply chain transformation strategy, the company had initially selected an alternative mobile solution for the pilot phase. During this discovery, the business uncovered that the software was only compatible with selected hardware devices, which were prohibitively expensive to source and implement, while the configuration process was confusing, with some critical functionalities not available.
To overcome these challenges, PreBilt for SAP EWM was selected as a more effective solution, due to its hardware-agnostic nature, enabling deployment onto the most appropriate devices for the project, without straining budget. This has also secured technological flexibility and competitive agility for the business, as PreBilt can be easily transitioned to new technology and hardware that the customer considers in the future.
PreBilt’s intuitive user experience will deliver simple screen flows to avoid confusion, engage operators and simplify daily tasks. To further enhance the solution, a bespoke warning sound and trigger system has been configured to maximise accuracy. The functionality automatically highlights incorrect data by operators, emitting a warning sound to ensure immediate corrective action for human error, helping to drive productivity. The simple configuration will also ensure the customer can quickly and easily make changes to screens independently to adapt to changing user, business or process requirements.
With PreBilt now live in the Netherlands, as well as Germany, it will continue to be rolled out as part of the company’s global EWM transformation, with the next scheduled go-live in France helping to deliver a unified SAP user experience across its worldwide operation.
