The Challenge

Deli Home was utilising SAP as its ERP system and looking to extend the reach of SAP into its warehouses, embarking on an SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) transformation. Combining production and warehousing, the sites in the Netherlands required an SAP solution that could manage end-to-end processes from end-of-line production through to dispatch. 

Initially looking for a low-code platform to build a mobile solution, Deli Home was impressed with the capabilities of the Mendix platform and enlisted the support of a local Mendix partner to deliver the project. However, the time involved in building the required mobile solution would have delayed the EWM project, so PreBilt was identified as a suitable rapid deployment mobile solution available on the Mendix platform. 

The Solution

The Config Team implemented PreBilt for EWM, a mobile solution for the SAP supply chain, to execute SAP EWM transactions on mobile devices within five warehouses across the Netherlands. Configuring the solution to meet the specific customer needs, PreBilt has been deployed to manage a range of processes including goods receipt, picking, physical inventory counting and stock enquiry. 

Deploying the standard PreBilt for EWM framework, the flexible customisation toolkit provided by The Config Team enabled the internal team at Deli Home to tailor the screen layout and appearance, during the project, to optimise the solution for the warehouse operators. 

Due to the success of the implementation, Deli Home is now looking to rollout PreBilt for EWM to an additional four warehouses and extend its scope to include its loading processes.
